Here you will find the passages and texts that are relevant to the whole Splinterlands. Whether they realize it or not, the vastly differing Splinters share many of the same goals, dreams and fears. The prophecy says That which was Splintered shall be made whole, and the Ancient ones know that they must soon unite to face a threat more terrifying than the world has ever seen.
The Dragon Splinter of Draykh-Nahka is the home of the Dragon people. Also known as the united Gloridax, the people and Dragons of this Splinter will stop at nothing to protect the Fire Blood. The Gloridax are themselves ruled by rigid bureaucracy, and they attempt to rule the Splinterlands through a web of power, treachery and financial control.
The domain of the Spirit of the Forest, known as Anumün, is heavily populated by a huge variety of creatures. Her wild and often savage people exist together in a perfect balance, producing vast quantities of food and loving all that grows. The Spirit of the Forest fears that this great time of abundance will come to an end with the fulfillment of the Prophecy.
The people of the wild Water Splinter of Azmaré embrace chaos and shun all forms of rule. There are only local laws, which are usually enforced by the victims of crime. The last Giant from the days before the Splintering is one of the Ancient Ones, known as the Frost Giant. He still watches over the people of Azmaré to this day.
The Burning Lands, in spite of their extreme temperatures, is the most densely populated Splinter of all. The history of the Ferexia who live here is littered with forced migrations, military conquests and fights over resources. They live a hard life, which is reflected in the severity of their governing body: The Torch.
The Life Splinter is a destination for healing of people from all of the Splinterlands. The Khymians who are native to this land look like Humans, but they are created rather than born. The government, industry and military are run by a huge religious organization called the Order of the Silver Shield.
Nothing grows in the huge wasteland of Mortis, except the Dark Eternals themselves, who have no need for food or water. The Lord of Darkness rules here with a tight grip, for he is the only one who can show his people the way to the one true Dark Reality. There is a single living city on the northern edge of Mortis called Beluroc, but it is not considered part of the Death Splinter.
